The Internal Wholesaler/Product Consultant is responsible for providing insight and product knowledge via the Sales Desk channels. In a highly competitive and energetic sales environment, the Internal Wholesaler/Product Consultant will make proactive phone calls to New York Life (NYL) representatives and financial partners to share sales ideas, provide product information and identify book of business sales opportunities.

In partnership with the External Wholesaler/Product Consultant, the Internal Wholesaler/Product Consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining existing relationships as well as identifying and acquiring new business within their territory to meet sales goals for New York Life Products. Positions are available across multiple product lines including Life Insurance Products, Long Term Care and Annuities.

**Responsibilities Include:**

* Making daily proactive sales calls to financial partners (NYL Representatives) to develop relationships while also making an effort to identify and increase sales opportunities
* Working closely with Product Consultants to develop and execute business plans to maximize territorial sales
* Identifying and converting book of business opportunities to assist producing representatives
* Analyzing agent and office sales performances and creating strategic plans to generate growth
* Fielding inbound calls from with regards to NYL products, case design and sales opportunities
* Utilizing NYL databases to create and maintain representative profile levels and data on current and proposed sales activities

**Desired Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
* Prior insurance or investment sales experience
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong relationship building and sales skills
* Must be a detail oriented, well organized self-starter with high energy and creativity
* Must be able to obtain licenses within 60 days of hire
* Ability to pay attention to detail and multitask
