The Data Quality Manager, reports to the Associate Director, Data Governance & Management - Sales Analytics.,

As a key contributor to the Business Analytics team, the DQ&A Manager is responsible for gathering, consolidating and tracking all Patient Hub, Specialty Pharmacy, Prescriber, Plan, Payer and Hospital data for Ophthalmology and Cardio metabolic therapeutic areas. This data is used throughout the company and the products' lifecycle, from the very beginning, to validate that data being reported and analyzed is of high quality before being delivered to various internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Reimbursement, and Performance Analytics.

We are seeking a Data Quality Manager with a proven track record of data quality projects and initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry specific to specialty pharmacy distribution and data collection. The purpose of this role is to ensure the highest quality of data feasible within the DQM environment. This individual will work with business partners inside and outside of the company to identify data quality issues and address them in order based upon urgency and priority. Additional responsibilities include driving improvements in the organization, processes, and use of systems and data and implementing data quality initiatives (Data Quality Roadmap).

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively and efficiently work with an enterprise environment involving very large data sets - millions of records in both databases and flat files

• Investigation of these large databases and flat files using SAS to manipulate and research the data

• Situational analysis and audit of current processes, data flows and systems

• Develop end-user ease of use program for these processes

• Develop metrics to report out about these processes

• Identify gaps in processes and areas of further improvement

• Take initiative to move from the abstract to the detailed, and from details to "big picture"

• Recognize and investigate anomalies and propose solutions

• Extract insights from the data, which involves a level of analytical comprehension and manipulation

• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for data quality tasks

• Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale

• Ability to use business judgment to guide analysis, draw implications from the data and synthesize into succinct and clear communications - understanding when to share widespread vs locally/individually

• Solid grasp of business issues and objectives by key stakeholders and the implications of different solutions given the current environment and forward looking business plans

• Solid communication skills (written and verbal) and teamwork capability a MUST

• Able to work with partners from other companies (Alliances and Vendors) and within culturally diverse environments

• Able to represent the Data Quality team when attending project meetings and when engaging with all key stakeholders

• Responsible for working with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to understand issues, implement solutions, and influence others to implement solutions

• Equally effective as an individual / independent contributor

• Able to work in an ambiguous environment with complex undocumented business logic and data flows

• Able to quickly, proactively and independently acquire knowledge via online documents and personal interactions to understand the data and the processes and code that alter the data throughout the process

• Able to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities and a mix of quick hit, short, medium and long-term projects of varying priorities

Experience and Required Skills:

• Minimum 6+ years' progressive industry/relevant experience with at least 3 years in data quality and analytics

• Knowledge and working experience in IMS data including Xponent Plantrak and Xponent Prescriber Dynamics, APLD, DDD, and Specialty Pharmacy data:

Strong experience (minimum 3 years) with Data Quality initiatives (data profiling, improvement, accuracy, completeness, data integrity, data stewardship, and data governance). EDI data mapping and validation/testing for data migration should be excluded from the total count of years

• SAS experience of 2-3 years writing code

• Ability to investigate anomalies and proactively problem solve

• Able to work within a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities

• Pharmaceutical industry experience required

• Must be a fast learner and willing to learn independently

• BA/BS degree required preferably in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics OR over 3 years of relevant experience

• Ability to exercise judgment as it relates to business decisions and their effects on stakeholders.

• Strong time management skills to juggle multiple priorities under time constraints
