Position Overview:

This role will report to our Vice President of Human Resources and play a critical role in managing a busy, high functioning office, ensuring that day to day operations run smoothly and efficiently, serving as a conduit for information within and across departments, and professionally representing the company and department to diverse external and internal audiences.

This role is expected to role model the values and cultural attributes of Consumer Reports; exercise outstanding judgment, discretion and diplomacy at all times; be exceptionally well-organized and serve as an ambassador for the company and Human Resources when interfacing with members of the board, senior leadership, staff at all levels, prospective employees, visitors, vendors, etc.

Qualifications Include:

* Undergraduate degree required with at least 10 years of relevant experience supporting and interfacing with senior level executives and staff at all levels.

* Self-motivated, high-functioning, experienced administrator with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Exceptional planning and organization skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

* Resourceful with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.

* Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written).

* Ability to manage communications with discretion, diplomacy and tact.

* Confident and comfortable interfacing with diverse audiences.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise outstanding judgment.

* Flexible and adaptable in any given situation.

* Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications.

* Tech-savvy with the ability to leverage technology and social media tools.

* A team player who is highly collaborative and demonstrates the ability to listen and learn from others.

* Prior experience in human resources is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a very busy calendar and workload, working closely and pro-actively across departments to facilitate forward planning and prioritization of meetings and activities.

* Schedule, organize and coordinate meetings with internal and external parties; prepare meeting notices, reserve meeting rooms, arrange audiovisual equipment and catering when necessary.

* Ensure the VP is fully prepared and briefed for each day's activities and provided with all necessary meeting materials in advance. Assist with organizing and prioritizing critical projects in the HR Division.

* Coordinate and manage budget tracking activities and prepare, execute and track purchase order requisitions and contract requisitions, amendments and extensions. Manage departmental expense submissions and approvals, and prepare expense reports, providing supporting documentation and assuring compliance with T&E policy. Manage departmental time-off calendar; coordinate department supplies and ensure the basic operational needs of the department are met.

* Partner with the Director of Talent Development to arrange ongoing professional development opportunities for the organization's administrative staff. Proactively organize gatherings with administrative staff to develop relationships, share best practices, and build a strong and collaborative community of high-functioning senior administrators.

* Research, document and prepare reports and presentations on various HR-related topics and data. Develop visually appealing power point presentations and well written summaries.

* Develop and manage databases to maintain and track HR information, such as employee and labor relations files, history and agreements, complaints, grievances and arbitrations.

* Assist with the development and distribution of internal and external communications. Coordinate with the HR and Communications teams to develop approaches to keep staff informed on Talent & Culture initiatives.

* Perform other related duties as necessary.
