Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager for the food operations at Saint Mary's, an acute care, community teaching hospital located in Waterbury, CT. Licensed for 347 beds, the hospital offers a Level II Trauma Center, a residency training program and a host of specialty medical services including the only pediatric emergency care unit in the region and award-winning cardiac and stroke care. This is a high-profile, multi-service Client where Sodexo manages Food & Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, Patient Transportation, a Service Response Center and Facilities Management. High level Client and customer service skills are a must, proven track record in driving HCAHPS, employee engagement and financial results required.

The Ideal candidate will have the ability to:

* Coordinate all unit marketing and retail initiatives to drive sales growth and track results
* Maintain and improve service level resulting in increased customer satisfaction
* Ensure all HAACP standards are followed
* Demonstrate resourcefulness and quick responsiveness to client and customer requests.
* Demonstrate Solid organizational skills
* Demonstrate excellent leadership/team building skills
* Handle customer service at all levels
* Educate and develop rapport with internal/external customers and promote partnerships
* Demonstrate cash handling/management

* Perform HR functions (recruiting, interviewing, disciplinary)
* Demonstrate employee engagement
* Manage EFY Patient tray line

Position Summary

Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
