The Technical Delivery Lead will serve as the go-to person for the delivery, execution and maintenance of several critical work streams for an internal claims processing system. We are looking for 2 positions, one position will serve as the Technical Lead for .NET platforms and the other for Java platforms. The individuals filling these roles must be located in our Hartford, CT office.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Lead development team on core Java / J2EE and / or .NET platforms
* Collaborate with Agile team members to mitigate any technical impediments
* Lead innovative approaches on infrastructure, performance optimization & automation
* Participate in Production Support for incidents
* Develop and maintain standards, common processes and best practices as per Industry standards

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 7+ years of experience with Software Development Methodologies
* Prior hands - on experience and current knowledge of Java and / or .NET development methodologies (both are ideal)
* Understanding of technologies such as: SOA, NoSQL, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS (ideally hands - on with these recently)
* Team lead experience or delivering and executing on projects; we are NOT looking for a Project Manager
* Experience in Agile development and unit testing
* Experience leading and managing matrixed teams and providing guidance and coaching to team members (including offshore or remote) on technical aspects
* Experience in collaborating with Technology Product Management and QA teams

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in healthcare industry
* Understanding of UHC / Optum Systems and IT Landscape
* Strong understanding on all components involved in Healthcare Product, Rating, Benefit Languages etc.
* Basic understanding on major Facets modules like: Group, Subgroup, Class / Plan, Subscriber / Member
* Experience in product development
* Self-starter, facilitator, problem solver, and a driver with necessary soft skills
* Willingness and ability to travel if and when needed for business meetings (NJ, MN, MA)
* Ability to provide long term strategic solutions for technical problems
* Be able to provide concise status on all IT team activities & progress
