The IT Architecture Consultant is responsible for designing the end to end infrastructure (Hardware, Software, and Integration) required to satisfy the non-functional (sizing, availability, and performance) requirements for business applications. As an end - to - end solutions architect you will collaborate with developers, infrastructure, architecture, operations and security to implement solutions and identify patterns or opportunities for automation and DevOps. This individual will work closely with Architects during Requirements and Solutions Analysis and Application Development teams during Solutions Design to understand how an application functions and the software products required in supporting it. Once a design has been completed, the IT Architecture Consultant will also generate the provisioning artifacts required to support the agile operational teams in building and supporting the solutions they have designed. This is a dual role of ensuring architectural integrity and compliance, while at the same time working with Operations to continuously improve availability, serviceability and efficiency of our solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

* The position will be a mix of individual contributor and technical team lead depending on the engagement
* This team will work across the organization to help develop and implement automation patterns and evangelize the benefits of DevOps
* You will own the infrastructure component design so you will need to be accountable for the details around it
* You will communicate solutions to business and technical owners / stakeholders
* This team will work on the actual implementations (end - to - end) of infrastructure
* You will maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions and demonstrate understanding of cross - functional / cross - domain requirements and impact
* Background checks are REQUIRED
* Our team is primarily based in our Hartford, CT and Eden Prairie, MN offices

Required Qualifications:

* College degree or equivalent experience
* 8+ years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture
* 8+ years of full - lifecycle delivery experience
* 6+ years of experience in building multi - tier application infrastructure
* Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration

Preferred Qualifications:

* Health care industry experience
* Team leadership or team management experience
* Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment
* Experience with [infrastructure] automation to improve speed and quality of delivery
* Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms
* Additional commercial or governmental requirements/restrictions could apply on a case - by - case basis
