The Dealer Territory Manager builds and maintains business relationships with Dealer & Commissioned Agent customers. Analyzes sales, volume, retail standards, and pricing in order to coach customers for maximum business results. This person also maintains communications between customers and the company in order to ensure company standards and expectations are met.


There are several essential job duties and responsibilities in order to perform the Dealer Territory Manager Position.

Previous industry experience is NOT required, but related experience in managing a Territory and good customer relationship skills is required.

The reponsibiliities fall under 6 different categories listed below:


* Inventory Reconciliation: Once per month a dealer territory manager must reconcile fuels inventories to ensure they fall under state guidelines.

* Monthly Compliance Audit Log: Once per month a dealer territory manager must complete the log at the location in order to ensure all sites are in environmental compliance with Company's regulatio


* Counsel customers in retail pricing to maximize business results.

* Monitor competition in customer's area and add new competition when necessary.

* Validate that all internal reports have accurate pricing & competitive information.

* Ensure Commission agents implement price changes in a timely manner.

Relationship Maintenance

* Handle general customer questions and complaints, explain company policies & initiative's

* Ensure all customers' needs are met in a timely manner in order maintain positive business relations between customer and company.

Business Analysis

* Ongoing analysis of volume, competition, dealer//CA offer & Mystery Shopper scores to maximize profitability for customer and company.

* Monitor profit and loss statements in order to verify rent and rent assistance.

* Construct annual business plans & CapEx recommendations with customers to meet the needs of the next year.

* Maximize profitability of each location by using tools and programs the company provides.

* Mystery Shopper, Educational Alliance, Rent Waiver Program, Maintenance Program, CFMS, Plenti loyalty & all others.

Delivery: work with the Dispatch team to:

* Handle any delivery issues, no fits, emergency loads

* Counsel customers on the benefits of automatic delivery & ordering per company guidelines

* Communicate with Dispatch to maximize delivery options


* Manage franchise agreement signings & submission of required documents

* Ensure dealers & agents submissions of required documentation, IE: insurance, etc.

* Manage dealer changes, assignments, sales etc.

* Additional Responsibilities:

* Manage customer (public) complaints.

* Conduct Site Surveys

* Ensure Signage, POP & Brand related program updates are implemented in the field.

* Ensure PCI compliance at sites

* Identify potential new dealers/agents & develop a "bull pen" of retailers who want to lease locations.

* Provide weekly "market updates' & competitive intelligence on pricing, supply & other issues

* Identify & nominate site level improvements that would result in added volume & EBITDA

* Ensure Commission Agents use the Kalibrate & Petronet systems per company policy

* Work with the Credit Department team to set up new accounts, manage existing accounts & resolve issues.


* Education: BA/BS-4 year college degree

* Experience: 2 years site-level experience, 2 years marketing/business operations experience.

* Computer Literacy: Word, Excel,

* Proficient in English Language

* Personality Traits: Confident in decision making, firm, outgoing, analytical, ability to anticipate and solve problems, excellent communication skills, positive leadership ability.
