Due to growth/promotion, Henkel Corporation is seeking a polymerchemist to focus on adhesive formulations and coatings for electronic deviceassembly. This senior position will oversee work of a small team ofscientists and technicians while being personally engaged in hands onformulation development. The chemistwill additionally work with application testing team to confirm fitness for keyend uses and related process equipment. Henkel is leader and wellpositioned within the adhesive space, this role will focus on maintaining theHenkel's leadership position within the broader adhesive and coatingspace. As part of a larger technical team, the role will be located atthe company's technical center for adhesive and polymerdevelopment that supports a diverse range of markets thatutilize adhesives and related equipment. This role is an ideal platformto advance professionally within a culture that values technical competence andcontribution, on a global basis. We are looking for adhesive formulator withsound background in commonly used polymers in adhesive formulations such asacrylates, polyurethanes, silicones, epoxy, BMI, etc., with good intuition, whoworks well in collaborative culture and is ambitious to grow with globalorganizations with good team work and focus on achievements.

* Design, develop and support on-time commercialization of new Structural Adhesives for electronic device assembly.

* Work with internal and external dispensing equipment team to customize formulations for fitness to use.

* Work directly with the Henkel Commercial team and Henkel customers as the technical project lead to identify, qualify, close and maintain business.

* Travel with Henkel Commercial team to develop first-hand understanding of customer's needs and application details.

Who we are looking for

* PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Sciences, Materials Science, or in any other related scientific areas, preferred but not required.

* Significant experience (greater than 3 years) Polymer formulations is required. Candidate with M. S. or B. S. degree with track record of 10-15 years of successful Product Development in the relevant area may be considered.

* Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

* Ability to manage medium size team of scientist and technicians.

* Ability to influence without direct authority needed.

* Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

* The ability to design and implement experiments is essential.
