Job Description:

HB Communications, Inc. is actively looking for a Junior-level QA Technician to join our team! This person is responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific AV projects to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established standards. The QA role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in North Haven, CT. Primary Responsibilities will be both in QA Lab and on the job site:Maintain system documentation for archival purposes (including but not limited to punch lists, as-built, network documentation, etc.)Calibrate and tune Audio systems.Calibrate and balance Video systems.Debug Control systems.Program and calibrate Audio DSP.Utilize manufacturer software to properly setup equipment.Setup equipment on networks.Adjustment and fine tuning of large variety of different audio-visual equipmentBuild customer relationshipsTravel and overtime where necessary. Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years in the Audio-Visual field. CTS/CTS-I preferred but not required.Working understanding of basic audio theory, Digital Video signals and some network knowledge required.Willingness to be constantly challenged and utilize problem solving skills.Must be competent in using electronic toolsA Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook a plus.Any additional skills in using manufacturer's software such as Biamp, BSS, Extron, Crestron DM tools etc. a plusWorking understanding of basic audio theory, Digital Video signals and some network knowledge required.Ability to lift 50lbs and be able to work extended hours and weekends if necessary. Some travel required. *Manufacturer and on the job training provided.
