Key Responsibilities: A.K.O., Inc., is seeking an Electrical Engineer. Responsible for design and development of electronic hardware for new products as well as maintain and update existing systems. Develop, design, & test simple-to-complex electrical components, circuits, and systems for instrumentation systems used in the measurement of torque , force and pressure. Design digital/analog circuitry to support product development efforts Electronic prototype and product development Experience developing digital electronics, firmware Integrate designs into final product Hands-on debug of designs from proof-of-concept through production PC Board layout for prototyping and production Maintain documentation on all designs including BOMS, schematics and specifications Interface with Production for continuous product improvement Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance and support Be accountable for assigned project deliverables, including product quality and schedule integrity. Work with Mechanical Designers as needed for mechanical integration of electronic assemblies Able to travel as needed to support and direct technical staff Other duties as defined within the scope of the position. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with emphasis in Electrical Engineering or comparable experience or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 2 years experience in similar industry, instrumentation design experience a plus, PCB Layout experience using Altium Designer preferred. Previous experience with Analog/digital design as well as PCB design/layout. Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently. Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks. Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook). Experience with embedded platforms Microchip and WinCE Previous experience in motion control servo systems a plus. Familiarity of ISO and FDA standards and audit process. Ability to work in a team environment US Citizen
