SoTel Systems is seeking an administrative assistant located at our office in Wallingford, CT. Hours are very flexible.


Processes and maintains accurate records, performing a variety of clerical and some entry-level accounting tasks by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Processing payments, generating and sending invoices and statements, scanning documents.
  • Communicates with customers, vendors and internal staff
  • Data Entry using multiple programs to include: Microsoft Office and Netsuite
  • Light receptionist duties:
    • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of the call, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. If the appropriate party is unavailable, takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail
  • Additional duties as assigned

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


Six months to a year Admin related experience preferred

Accounting experience a plus but not required

Microsoft Excel experience required

Communication Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the general public.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. The individual should also demonstrate an intermediate level of internet browsing ability; Keyboarding skills
