Job Description:

POP Displays is searching for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to develop manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Champion and foster the culture of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement), Lean Manufacturing, safety and provide training to operators, line leads, and supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned: ?? Evaluates manufacturing processes, suggest recommendations on the manufacturing and quality processes, and types of manufacturing methods to be adopted by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, molding, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment and material vendors; soliciting observations and feedback from operators. ?? Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. ?? Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. ?? Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished goods product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. ?? Collaborate with Design Engineering to optimize manufacturability of new and current products/projects. ?? Create Bills of Material, Labor Routings, Job Instructions and production control documents. ?? Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. ?? Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. ?? Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. ?? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. ACCOUNTABILITY:Ensure complete start-to-end planning, direction and co-ordination of all the manufacturing processes to be adopted and signed-off by department manager.Ensure 100% accurate BOMs, Routings and COGS for assigned projects in ERP systemEnsure line layouts meet or exceed established Takt times and quality standardsImplement at least one kaizen event per quarter QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated success related to the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principlesStrong collaborative skills with the ability to deal with complexityStrong mechanical aptitude and passion to create new methods of manufacturing processesFluency in MS OfficeExcellent problem solving skillsBilingual English/Spanish a plus EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: B.S. in Industrial or Manufacturing EngineeringMinimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering position
