What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Manager in Enterprise Risk Model Risk Management (EMRM), you will work in close proximity to model stakeholders in order to vet and validate mathematical models used by RBC, mainly focusing on models related to stress testing. You will act as a trusted advisor and effective challenger to model developers and users on all matters pertaining to CCAR model requirements.

What will you do?
Engage model builders (Market Risk, Front Office, etc.) and related function groups personnel as necessary, in order to pro-actively assess, document, and independently validate mathematical models and their usage by the bank.
Perform time-series analysis using econometric models and statistical forecasting methodologies.
Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the flow and context of model usage by the business.
Ensure that model users adhere to RBC model risk policy.
Facilitate RBC compliance with regulatory policies, guidelines and procedures on model risk

What do you need to succeed?
Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as physics, math, engineering, computer science, statistics, or financial engineering.
At least 5 years of work experience in mathematical modelling in a similar or related role, such as a model developer or validator, a Front Office quant, a risk quant, or a risk manager, most preferably in a large financial institution.
Broad exposure to and excellent knowledge of risk models for main product types (equity, FIC, IR/FX, securitized products, credit, commodity), and quantitative risk management methodology.
Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills

Nice to have

Big picture CCAR experience/understanding.
Previous work on CCAR modelling and/or stress testing.
Experience with credit and/or operational risk models.
