Established in 1981, The Wine Group (TWG) is a privately-held, management-owned company with a portfolio of leading brands, including Cupcake, Concannon, Benziger, Imagery, Chloe, Franzia, and many other brands. Premium Portfolio Area Manager will be responsible for the development and success of The Wine Group Premium priced portfolio of brands listed below through a targeted off sale account list. The Premium Portfolio Area Manager will be accountable for lead selling activities and management of the listed portfolio through wholesaler execution in Metro New York. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for annual sales volume, accounts purchasing, and points of distribution within a defined account list of Premium Portfolio.Portfolio Focus: for Chloe, Save Me San Francisco, Cocobon, Slow Press, Insurrection, and 13 Celsius. Brand list may change based on TWG market development strategy. Customer Focus: Lead selling within the Top 75 Premium SWS ACV Accounts to include 5-10 Key independent chain accounts (Selling new items, chain wide display programs, ads, newsletters, etc.) if they exist in market (ex. Nugget Markets in Metro New York.)Account list defined by the Division Manager, approved by the Region Vice President.Channel Focus: Independent Premium Wine Retail Trade (may include some wine steward grocery accounts if they fall within the Top 75 Premium SWS ACV accounts)Consumer Focus: Conduct 10+ demo's and tastings each month of Premium Portfolio (where legal). Provide analysis of tasting to Division Manager & Brand Marketing Manager."Launch Captain" for all new Premium Innovation introductions to market.10+ selling ride-along's monthly with Independent & Chain DM's/KAM's/Reps..Assisting with quarterly GSM's, presenting new items and leading brand education.Lead sales execution of the TWG in-store "5 Standards for Success"Distribution: Schematic execution, adherence to all items expected to be in distributionShelf: Product Rotation/out of code management, shelf adjacencies, etc.Floors: "3 Floors in every store", scale/impression to consumer.ColdBox: New distribution, shelf location, proper adjacencies.Cross Merchandising: In/Out of department execution, product.Responsible for helping Division Manager organize and conduct quarterly business reviews with senior distributor management.Conduct district manager team meetings, general sales meetings and brand kickoff meetings.Creating and driving incremental programs to support monthly focus priorities in the market.Attend tastings events, wine dinners and team outings.Manager budgets in the following categories: Pricing, Incentives, Customer support (known as "miscellaneous"), along with Travel & Entertainment expenses and other departmental expenses.Track Volume, Accounts Sold and POD actuals vs. goals on a monthly basis. Also, develop programs with the distributor to close any gaps to goal.Administrative Responsibilities:Complete & review monthly Scorecard reports (depletion & distribution() with DMForecast monthly salesRe-Cap and follow up from weekly ride-along'sRun monthly Sales Nav/Diver reportsProcess Sample RequestsComplete expense reports with any relevant Travel and Entertainment expenses on a weekly basisAverage Monthly Time Management projections (Time Management projections (based on 20 sales days/month):80% Selling; 20% AdministrativeSelling: Examples include salesman ride-along's, Branch Manager and DM business reviews, DM team meetings and key account appointments.Administrative: See "TWG Administrative Responsibilities" above.This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to travel frequently between home office client sites, and industry meetings/events.Primary work activities are within an office environment.
