Catholic Charities' Asylum Hill Family Center is seeking a Family Support Provider


The Family Support Provider (FSP) for Nurturing Families Network program provides support and education in the home environment to first time parents and their children (pre-natal to age 5) who are at risk for child abuse and neglect. The FSP works in collaboration with service providers to reduce abuse or neglect. Fathering Family Support Providers are men who provide the home visiting services to fathers and males who have a significant relationship with the child and are in a caregiving role.

QUALIFICATIONS: Family support providers must have a high school diploma and two years of relevant supervised work experience.Family support providers should have experience working with vulnerable children and families.Experience working with children and families in crisis preferred. Knowledge of child abuse and neglect reporting criteria preferred.Good communication skills - written and verbal.Ability and willingness to work with families of all racial and socio-economic backgrounds.Basic computer skills Word and Excel preferred. Professional Experience Required: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage families from diverse social and ethic background. Knowledge of child development.
