The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Sell Bayer products for profit. Meet or exceed financial goals set for the territory.

• Utilize effective sales tools and suggest process improvement initiatives.

• Negotiate equipment pricing and adhere to discount parameters.

• Arrange equipment demonstrations, trade out competitive units or place new units in the field.

• Call on new and existing accounts to identify and create opportunities utilizing the Bayer sales process:

• Earn the right by establishing credibility

• Qualify the opportunity by assessing the customer needs

• Establish and meet buying influences and criteria by providing solutions/recommendations via Bayer products and services

• Gain commitment and implement our products and services

• Maintain and expand Bayer business and customer satisfaction levels through customer enhancement programs and resources administration.

• Maintain accurate and up to date database of accounts in Salesforce.

• Prepare and submit reports.

• Manage field expenses and evaluate profit margin.

• Remain current on new technologies and the medical device industry.

• Attend key exhibits and conventions to evaluate new applications/competitors. Gather information on competitors and their strategies.

• Remain knowledgeable of Bayer product enhancements and attend product training.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with Bayer dealers (ie, Phillips, Siemens, Toshiba, Elscint).

• Bachelors degree and 2 years of sales or equivalent customer experience.

• Experience with budgeting, sales planning, and territory account management.

• Valid Driver's license required

• Demonstrated technical aptitude and working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

• Excellent verbal, written, listening and persuasion/consensus building skills.

• History of exceeding goals and quotas.

• Strong customer focus internally and externally.

• Strong drive for results

• Possess strong integrity, trust, ethics and values.

• Action oriented with perseverance.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity

• Strong problem solving skills.

• Ability to travel up to 40-60% travel within territory is required.

• Experience with budgeting, sales planning and territory account management.

• Excellent technical aptitude.

• Experience with capital sales or software sales is a plus.

* **The territory will include all of Washington, Alaska and part of Montana. The ideal candidate will live in the Seattle, Washington geography and be located within 30 minutes of a major airport and be able to manage approximately 40-60% overnight travel.***
