Assistant Teachers (Bedford Village)Compensation: Based on education and experience/ BenefitsCountry Kids Schoolhouse, located in Westchester County New York in the town of Bedford Village, is looking for assistant infant/toddler teachers. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with an AA or BA in Early Childhood Education. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, strong leader that is passionate about their work with children and committed to providing a quality education. You must be a caring and energetic individual who enjoys working with children and have the ability to successfully assist in managing a classroom of six children, ages 3 months to 30 months old. Provide unconditional love and support to all children and communicate effectively with parents.2. Understand the basic principles in guiding behavior to promote a positive classroom environment.3. Lead and encourage participation of circle time, story time, songs and finger play.4. Follow & develop lesson plans and generate curriculum ideas.5. Lead arts & crafts activity.6. Tend to the basic needs of infants & toddlers by providing assistance with feeding, dressing and toiletry.7. Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.8. Serve meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines.9. Maintain a clean, neat and organized classroom.10. Provide materials for children to explore & manipulate. Requirements:1.
