Financial Analysis Manager - Bloomfield, CT

  • This is a contract role expected to last 5+ months.

Financial Analysis Manager - Job Duties:

  • Provide support to develop accounting processes, and business and systems requirements to support new products and other strategic initiatives.?
  • Provides consultative support during project requirement and design phases on operational and financial controls.
  • Identifies Accounting policy concerns and facilitates discussions to support new products and compliance roll-outs.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for Accounting and provides consultative support to IT management and staff on all phases of the project development cycle.
  • Supports design phases, insuring solutions meet business needs.
  • Identifies Accounting risks and risk triggers. Proposes risk mitigation strategy and secures approval from project and Accounting management.
  • Provides input to testing strategies to ensure application changes required to meet Accounting business requirements are robustly tested prior to implementation.
  • Participates in post installation production support activities.
  • Develops training and communication materials and delivers timely training to impacted Accounting business units.
  • Recommends accounting treatment for new products, with focus on GAAP, Statutory, Health and Human Services (HHS) regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • 6+ years of solid, diverse work experience in Finance.
  • PMI Certified or demonstrated equivalent project management experience.
  • Project Management experience on complex projects, following formal project management discipline or similar approaches or methodologies.
  • Strong technical skills in Accounting and/or Auditing are preferred with an emphasis on GAAP, Statutory, Management, and HHS/Minimum Loss Ratio
  • Reporting associated with Healthcare reform.
  • Ability to understand/build Macros and Query's is required
  • Knowledge of healthcare products.
  • Knowledge of CHC financial applications
  • Healthcare Finance is a plus

Compensation: $35.00-$42.00/hr
