NOTE: This position requires extensive travel within Latin America. Prospective candidates should be Mexican citizens only.


The Borescope Inspector is responsible for performing inspection and repairs of gas or steam turbines and generators utilizing uniquely designed scanners and other remote access equipment. These inspections/repairs might be carried out at power stations worldwide.


+ Evaluates and documents condition of GE Gas turbine frames 5, 6, 7 and 9 units and medium Steam turbines.

+ Evaluates condition using a digital fiber scope with 3D Phase Measurement or Stereo measuring capabilities documenting the condition for the compressor, combustion and turbine sections.

+ Generates and provides the inspection results to the customer for engineering evaluation, if necessary.

+ Conducts "on the job training" for new recruits.

+ Provide expert consultation and technical expertise

+ Support activities as required such as proposal support, equipment maintenance, process instruction revisions, new test development, interpretation of customer technical specifications

+ Stay abreast of new technologies and test procedures within the organization and continually expand certifications.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

+ Fluent in English and Spanish (Advanced level)

+ Experience with Turbines is highly preferred

+ Availability to travel frequently (60%-70%)

+ Strong analytic and problem solving skills

+ Good interpersonal and organizational skills

+ Proactive and team player

+ Strong computer skillsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor Degree in Engineering and 3 years of relative experience in power plant, equipment installation/ commissioning. Successful completion of required training programs is a minimum requirement. Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with varioustypes of equipment and site accountabilities is required. Experience with Turbines is highly preferred.PHYSICAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must be able and willing to work long hours and schedules that are not uniform on a day-to-day basis

+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

+ Must be able to climb ladders and steps
