Job Description:

Estimator - Full Time Permanent position Salary Range - DOE Seeking an experienced head estimator to work on multiple high end retail, commercial and residential projects throughout the United States. This is a fast paced work environment where accuracy and timeliness are of paramount importance. The ideal candidate will have high end retail experience and a proven track record with national contracting firms. ?? Analyze blueprints, shop drawings and surveys to prepare cost, time, materials and labor estimates. ?? Review and comment on project documents, inclusive of lease and construction attachments, architectural and mechanical surveys, and jurisdictional requirements. ?? Perform detailed quantity take-offs for use in determining estimates and project budgets. ?? Create a schedule of values for approved construction projects ?? Consult with clients, contractors and in-house staff to discuss and formulate estimates. ?? Confer with engineers, architects, contractors and subcontractors for adjustments to cost estimates. ?? Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work. ?? Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. ?? Review material and labor requirements for the purpose of deciding the most cost effective manner to perform the noted work, either by self performing or subcontracting the work scope. ?? Compile an estimating versus actual cost database, for use in ongoing pricing exercises, and to establish a bidding history and archive. ?? "Fast track", and/or high end retail experience is a must. ?? Familiarity and expertise with all facets of construction, inclusive of engineering, mechanical systems, and architectural details is required. ?? The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must. ?? As an employee of the company, you must be involved in safety initiatives and programs such as the safety committee, safety inspections, evacuations and training. You must apply and follow all safety policies and procedures while integrating safety into your daily work. Bachelors Degree in Construction Management is preferred, but may be substituted by adequate experience.
