HOURS : Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings, mechanical equipment, etc JOB SUMMARY: Manages counseling units to insure that needed counseling services are available for and provided to all trainees. . DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Performs general maintenance and repairs of buildings, furnishings and equipment center-wide Assists in relocation of center property Consults with Maintenance/Logistics Supervisor in the preparation of specifications for construction and modification work Reads and works from blueprint specifications Analyzes and repairs problems with appliances, heating and air-conditioning units Makes periodic inspections of center mechanical equipment; adjusts and services them as necessary Maintains buildings performing routine and minor/major painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other related maintenance activities Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs, etc Establishes and maintains records relating to periodic maintenance of center mechanical equipment May operate trucks and other center vehicles REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Two years experience in the field of building maintenance that includes electrical, plumbing, carpentry work, and heating/air conditioning Preferred: Extensive experience Knowledge Required: Ability to obtain a State driver's and CDL license. Knowledge of building construction and maintenance, plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, etc. Ability to operate hand and power tools. .
