Job Description: Merchandiser What you'll be doing: As the Merchandiser , you will hold a vital position in shaping the future of Cycle Gear! Your purpose at the store will be to manage the backroom operations by keeping products organized and consolidating backroom materials (i.e. pallets, product shells, etc.), as well as being held accountable for all incoming and outgoing inventory. You will be responsible for processing damaged or defective products back to the Distribution Center and reporting back to the Operations Team. Additionally, as the merchandiser, you will also be responsible for ensuring that an adequate level of product is in stock for customer purchase, that the merchandise is properly maintained, and that the merchandise is displayed appropriately with proper signage and favorable shelf placement. This includes store setup, MAP (plan-o-gram) execution, as well as the stocking of various types of products. Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager. Job Requirements: Skills required/preferred: High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience; 2 years preferred. Previous merchandising or reset experience preferred. Ability to use a computer to complete and analyze reports, manage inventory. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holiday, evening and weekend shifts. Familiarity reading and comprehending planograms, modules, plan-o-grams, schematics or POGs. Personal Attributes and Capabilities Required: Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail. Must have the ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. Must have the ability to retain large amounts of ever-changing product information. Must be a solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills; strong communications skills. Must have an upbeat, positive attitude and being passionate about what you do. Must have a strong work ethic and a get-it-done mindset. Experience working with motorcycles is helpful, but by no means necessary.
