**The Opportunity:**

As the Account Manager of Donor Screening in San Marcos, TX, you will be responsible for overall sales, profitability and satisfaction of customers in the assigned geographic territory for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics' Donor Screening Products.

**The Responsibilities:**

+ As the account team leader, ensures that maximum business is achieved from each account through negotiating and closing sales contracts.

+ Coordinates resources to ensure customer needs are being met and any issues are addressed as quickly as possible.

+ Achievement of annual territory business plan quota

+ Ensures account satisfaction through regular meetings with key decision-makers.

+ Secure, maintain, and grow Ortho Clinical Diagnostics' Donor Screening business within the assigned territory.

+ Acts as a customer liaison and provides business and technical solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

+ Accountable for total revenue of accounts in assigned territory.

+ Accurately forecasts Donor Screening Sales on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis.

+ Establishes and maintains relationships with decision makers in existing, and targeted future potential accounts.

+ Coordinates resources to ensure customer business requirements are being met in a satisfactory and timely fashion.

+ Executes and maintains effective account strategies for every targeted account through the use of marketing tools.

+ Develops, maintains and communicates detailed territory business plan.

+ Works with newly hired Account Managers helping to train and support them as they develop their territory

+ Assists with development and presents proposals that meet company profit and compliance objectives

+ Support selling efforts and relationship to GPOs. (BCA)

+ Perform, as needed, direct observation of testing staff during customer's regular testing shifts to analyze compliance and technique for troubleshooting purposes.

+ Primary internal interactions will be with the Manager of Donor Screening, CTS Technical Support Specialists, Donor Screening Marketing, Field Service Engineers, Regional Service Managers and Customer Service.

**The Individual:**

+ Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience selling diagnostic systems is strongly preferred but will also consider candidates who have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics' donor screening platform

+ Demonstrates strong business analytical skills to accurately forecast and problem solve

+ Ability to sell capital equipment and reagents in the donor screening industry.

+ Technical ability and analysis as applied to account assays, workflow and processes.

+ Demonstrates full understanding of Donor Screening Laboratory workflow.

+ Demonstrates the strong ability to assist with the development of professional presentations and to present at all levels of the account.

+ Demonstrates ability to conduct Train-the-Trainer training for the Ortho Summit System.

+ Demonstrates strong technical and analytical abilities to accurately identify, assess and troubleshoot situations.

+ Must be organized, efficient, and be able to maintain a high level of productivity.
