As a Host/Hostess you'll greet and seat guests. Answer phones and takes reservations. Assists in resetting tables and overall service to guests. Responsible for maintaining table rotation amongst waitstaff. QUALIFICATIONS 1 year(s) experience in a guest services setting or equivalent Previous guest relations training Food handling certificate Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal Compute basic arithmetic Ability to: perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy perform job functions under variable working conditions (example: heat or cold) prioritize and organize multiple tasks be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment follow directions thoroughly understand guest's service needs work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team work with minimal supervision PHYSICAL ABILITIES Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas Remain in stationary position for up to 8 hours throughout work shift Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend congeniality's in accordance to department guidelines Greet and acknowledge all arriving and departing guests, however busy and whatever time of day Take record and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations as specified in departmental standards Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus; ensure designated amounts are available Maintain complete knowledge of: Scheduled daily private functions Restaurant and book store extension numbers Hours of operation, ambiance, menu selections and price range Menu items, features, 86'd items, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the Caf?? Wine and beer list Table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, and dress code of the Caf??
