+ Manages a significant group of contributing writers to originate compelling feature storytelling espnW

+ Works in close partnership with fellow Senior Editors to coordinate a strong mix of lifestyle features and regularly recurring content franchises,

+ Works in close partnership with other Senior Editors to coordinate large espnW projects with multiple layers and multi-platform storytelling approaches across ESPN group

+ Edits and produces content for various types of online media platforms

+ Generates and inspires creative ideas, discussion and input from editors, contributors and espnW staff at large

+ Collaborates closely with other ESPN divisions, developing relationships in order to expand partnerships, create new joint storytelling opportunities, and ensure espnW content integration

+ Collaborates closely with our ESPN sales and marketing divisions to create outside partnerships and campaigns with sponsors

+ Works with the espnW team to evolve and sharpen the espnW voice and POV

+ Recruits and develops new, diverse talent for espnW

+ Works with the espnW team to ensure all content is timely, reflects the espnW voice, and maintains a high level of journalistic quality



+ A minimum of 5 years direct professional editorial and/or reporting experience, immersive work in multiplatform content critical

+ A minimum of 3 years experience managing writers and/or editors, motivating a strong team work ethic and high quality editorial product

+ Strong roots in digital media

+ Strong editorial background, including advanced line editing and story development skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team

+ Clear understanding of the female audience

+ Strong leadership skills and affinity for talent development

+ Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

+ Mindful of P&L implication for all creative decisions



+ Passion for launching and growing innovative content products to drive revenue and growth

+ Experience with producing content for a female audience

+ Experience with and exposure to technical and product teams



+ Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, new media online/multimedia or a related field or a high school diploma and a suitable combination of related training and experience

Reporting to espnW's Deputy Editor, this Senior Editor will oversee our Life/Style channel, assigning and editing features and regular lifestyle franchises, along with social media campaigns and lifestyle content for our many live events.
