Job Description:

Manufacturing Engineer Our client, a growing medical device firm, is currently in need of a Manufacturing Engineer. Role:Work with R&D, Quality and Purchasing in support of supper selection, capability analysis and approval.Support efforts in continuous improvement in quality and cost reduction working with internal and external resources.Support the development and coordination of all applicable elements of the DMR (Device Master Record), BOMs (Bill of Materials), RICs (Receiving Inspection Checklists), process and packaging specifications.Work with suppliers, R&D, Quality and Purchasing on production issue resolution and product complaint investigations.Drive best practices into all projects.Handle DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) activities for new products, working closely in project teams with R&D and Quality. Engage suppliers early in the manufacturing process design and definition, equipment selection and tooling/fixture development. Requirements:BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 1-3 years of increasing manufacturing engineering responsibility, medical device experience is a definite plusFamiliar with current manufacturing process and equipment pertaining to plastic and metal machining, injection molding, stamping, die casting, assembly, cleaning and packaging.Experience in both new product and process development and supplier improvement activity.Familiar with inspection, measurement techniques and gauging.Demonstrated experience in medical device manufacturing and GoodFamiliar with the elements of the FDA's QSR for medical device manufacturers and/or other regulated industry.Familiar with a variety of component finishing processes; i.e. coating, anodizing, bead blasting, plating, etc.Experience in various assembly methods and familiar with clean room production.Familiar in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Strong initiative, highly collaborative and accountable. Familiar with root cause analysis processes along with identification, development and implementation of corrective actionsSolid knowledge of DFM, DFA, pFMEA and dFMEA processes.Ability to interact with all levels of management.Ability to function
