Job Description:

Positions: INVENTORY CONTROL / WATER SPIDER Employee Type: Full-Time / 2nd Shift We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control / Water Spider candidate who possess experience in aerospace manufacturing and is thoroughly familiar with the materials, tools and methods of the production operations, so that others may maximize their time in value-adding work. Constant communication and high energy are vital skills to success in this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to self-motivate and be passionate about providing support to a diverse group of associates. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To oversee the workflow processes throughout the company, allocating raw material, physically handling the material to appropriate work centers, problem solving skills a must Ability to read and understand blueprints, job routings, and a working knowledge of the PLEX database system Proactively responding to the dispatch schedule and constant communication with production supervisors following cycled routines throughout the workday To review report for Work Center Inventory Requirements and ensure they align with receiving raw material, dates allocate material where demand is needed Recognize changes in demand and communicating them to the appropriate personnel, this helps to keep customer required ship dates current within the ERP system departments Starting cycle counts in Inventory control, completing cycle counts- accounting for all physical inventory/tooling in exact locations in PLEX, adjusting inventory as necessary, creating Master Units for Lot Management of materials Organizing the raw material crib and making sure it is current with available inventory, cooperating with inspection department to finalize raw material receipts and transferring material to crib. Always striving to improve customer service metrics scoring to ensure that the company meets its goals Helping out receiving department to receive purchase orders for tooling and supplies, distributing them to the appropriate personnel Kitting and Assembly training is a requisite for allocating the material to specific jobs as required Requirements and Competencies:High School Diploma or GEDAerospace Manufacturing Experience in Inventory Control or/and Water Spider positionExperience with forklift preferred, but willing to trainBe able to lift 50 pounds of weight throughout assigned workday if requiredWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have a full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, etc.
