Job Description:

Positions: QUALITY ENGINEER Employee Type: Full-Time / 1st Shift Quality Engineer will be providing all resources to meet statutory, regulatory and customer requirements. The Quality Engineer shall ensure that continuous improvement process is maintained. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop inspection criteria for customer inspection requirements Control of a customer document changes Control and maintain External documents- specifications Update latest revision levels of external specification to the system (material processes and specs) Ensure that PW MCL LCS requirements are established, maintained and flowed down to suppliers Disposition of non-conforming material Maintain an effective corrective and preventive action process for suppliers and customers Quality Clinic Coordinator duties Supplier evaluation and rating system Conduct internal audits for AS9100 Conduct 5S audits Review the manufacturing process to ensure that customer requirement will be met Ensure that in-process inspection points have been established in the manufacturing plan whenever the validation of characteristics cannot be evaluated at later stage such as hidden dimensions. Monitor customer satisfaction levels to include survey forms or customer scorecards and manage customer complains Review and approve all outgoing purchase orders Define quality criteria for outgoing purchase orders (quality provisions) - flow down requirements Review First Articles Assign "key characteristic" that have been specified by the customer Control "Process Cert" program Develop and maintain "UPPAP" projects for PWA Support customer communication process to include technical aspects, EQN's and eSRI's Develop and maintain ESA process documentation Coordinate Ballooning of drawings Update material requirements Requirements and Competencies: BS Degree in relevant fields or 5 yrs of Quality related experience including knowledge and requirements of AS9100 standards. Must display excellent teamwork and problem solving skills as well ability to drive projects to completion. Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills appropriate for direct interaction with customers. Good computer skills. Preferred experience with Continuous Improvement including demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing with visual management techniques.
