Job Description:

Procurement Manager POSITION SUMMARY The Procurement Manager will develop and implement the strategic sourcing requirements best aligned to the goals of the company. The position will be responsible to: provide end-to-end sourcing services across various internal client groups and categories of goods and services; develop and deliver clear project and category plans with regards to driving cost savings, improving processes, and reducing risk as it relates to the Procurement-related activities within the company. The role will involve building financial cases for supplier comparison and combining comparative data in support of the negotiation process, as well as conducting supplier research, industry analysis, and best practices. The position requires an expert negotiator with a proactive attitude providing excellent facilitation and customer service to line of business clients and the external community, and serve as a liaison and mentor to the more junior staff. The primary objectives for the Strategic Sourcing Manager are to: •Guide internal clients through a six-step strategic sourcing process for new suppliers and categories •Provide governance to the sourcing process and act as a conduit for escalations and problem resolution through the process •Apply the sourcing process to achieve cost containment, savings and/or avoidance •Provide guidance, assistance and training to non-Sourcing staff •Help facilitate the development and utilization of supplier management and eProcurement processes MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Sourcing: • Execute the sourcing process at an expert level in order to achieve financial goals and targets. • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across a variety of commodities, including but not limited to Bank Equipment, Professional Services, Marketing, Bank Partnerships, IT, HR, and Real Estate. • Administer the sourcing process in accordance with departmental and firm standards, policies, and procedures. • Provide framework for the collection and vendor scoring criteria, facilitating the vendor selection process to provide support to both clients and other sourcing team members. • Serve as a change agent to instill best practices strategic sourcing models to influence Procurement behavior, e.g. a 6-step sourcing process and demand management practices. • Successfully manage a variety of simultaneous projects with varying levels of senior management involvement and impacted stakeholders utilizing experience and a deep-rooted knowledge of project management processes and practices. • Mine and identify additional opportunities for sourcing savings (including demand management) and improvement through active stakeholder engagement, research, and data analysis. • Develop and communicate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling to formulate optimal deal structure for relevant projects. • Develop and execute RFx's as required to drive improvement, serving as primary point of contact for all related RFx activity. • Review and negotiate contracts, identifying risks and opportunities, communicating them effectively to internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve intended results, serving as a subject matter expert through the completion of all assigned sourcing projects. • Serve as an in-house expert in data analysis and creation of vendor financial models. • Actively maintain and provide individual and project-based reporting in accordance with department standards. General: • Work with Procurement leadership to identify areas for ongoing firm and departmental improvement. • Collaborate across the Procurement organization with the areas of Third Party Risk Management and Tactical Procurement to ensure seamless service is delivered to the internal client base and the supplier community. • Communicate effectively across all levels within the firm. • Ensure sourcing projects are conducted consistently to ensure proper coordination and collaboration with Third Party Risk Management standards and procedures. • Facilitate successful transition of relevant sourcing categories and suppliers through the eProcurement solution. • Provide input and engagement on the details of payment processing with a focus on the appropriate level of automation specific to a category or project. • Utilize the contract management system to obtain and distribute third party agreements. • Provide basic knowledge of regulatory compliance to any sourcing project or category. • Embody core values, including taking responsibility for meeting our customer's needs, respecting the dignity of every individual, earning trust through ethical behavior, giving of ourselves in the communities we serve, and working together to achieve outstanding results. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS •A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in a fast-paced, strategic sourcing, management consulting, and/or financial services environment. •Expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, previous category sourcing responsibility in key areas such as professional services, office supplies, travel, software/hardware and marketing. Strong analytical and computer skills are essential. •BS required - Business related discipline •Advanced degree preferred - MBA/CPM •5 - 8 years of related experience - Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Financial Services • Expert knowledge in the theory and application of end to end Sourcing processes and methodologies • Expert knowledge in supply chain and related applications • Expert negotiator • Proficient knowledge in the realm of analysis and analytics • Experience with Fortune 500 level company preferred • Working knowledge of supplier relationship management processes and methodologies
