Description: SUMMARY:Responsible for creation and modification of Industrial Gas Generator, Power Turbine and installation Technical manuals which includes, but is not limited to Overhaul Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Shop Manuals, Special Shop Instructions and Service Bulletins.


The position includes the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other relevant duties will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

+ Create and/or modify Industrial Gas Generator, Power Turbine and installation Technical manuals which includes, but is not limited to Overhaul Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Shop Manuals, Special Shop Instructions and Service Bulletins.

+ Produce technical publications for new products by observing and transposing shop processes

+ Develop Assembly Operation (AOS) Sheets from Shop Manual instructions.

+ Interface with Customers to review and modify Technical Manuals to Customer standards

+ Perform special projects as assigned by management.

+ Ensure that personnel are complying with WGP&W established safety practices and procedures.

+ Maintain a safe and clean work area and adhere to all housekeeping requirements. Follow all safety procedures and rules and properly wear all safety protective equipment as required.

+ Conduct oneself in a businesslike manner and in the spirit of teamwork.

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma and two-year degree or equivalent relevant experience. Ten year's experience with development and maintenance of workshop technical data and Technical drawings is preferred, but the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience can be considered. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as parts and assembly drawings, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Must have good technical publication and technical writing skills. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to apply the concepts of algebra, geometry and shop math as they relate to technical publications. REASONING ABLILTY:Ability to solve unusual problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and apply a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Airframe & Powerplant License preferred but not required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to work proficiently within the Microsoft Office environment. Must have good mechanical skills, a high level of manual dexterity including hand-eye coordination. Must be able to read, interpret, document and use manufacturer's technical manuals, service bulletins, illustrated parts catalogs, assembly drawings and WGP&W assembly records. PHISICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, solvents and oils.
