POSITION SUMMARY

The Part-time Receptionist provides excellent customer service and administrative support to the dealership

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* To build and maintain relationships with our customers, vendors and peers.

* Answer incoming phone calls, pleasantly and appropriately forward callers to the appropriate party.

* Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and determine the nature of their visit.

* Direct customer to the correct department, notify the appropriate salesperson that a customer is waiting or introduce the customer to the salesperson.

* Answer basic customer inquiries and refer more extensive inquiries to the appropriate person.

* Take thorough messages, indicating the caller's first and last name, company name if applicable and time.

* Perform clerical duties and accounting duties as assigned by the GSM.

PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

* Able to sit for extended periods of time.

* Able to perform fine motor functions like typing, filing, using a calculator.

* Able to see short and long distances with or without corrective lenses.

* Able to push, pull or lift items up to 20 lbs.

* Able to hear normal sounds with some background noise as in answering phone, intercom.

* Ability to communicate through human speech as in answering a telephone.

* Able to concentrate on moderate detail with frequent interruption

* Able to remember task/assignment for full shift.

* Possible exposure to noise, vibration, fumes (e.g., exhaust fumes), dust, extremes in temperatures, other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE

* Demonstrated customer service experience

* Exceptional organizational skills

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

MINIMUM EDUCATION

* High school diploma or equivalent
