Wilson Elser currently seeks a Part-Time Collections Staff Assistant to work 14-21 hours a week.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with about a year or more of professional office experience looking to take on a fast-paced role in a national law firm. This position can be seated in either our White Plains or Downtown, NY office.SummaryThe Part-Time Collections Staff Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to our full-time collections staff. In addition, communicate and distribute reports within the Firm regarding compliance notifications.Qualifications•High School Diploma or GED Equivalent•1+ years of professional work experience in an office environment•Ability to produce detailed and accurate work•Organizational skills and attention to detail•Strong written and verbal communication skills•Experience with Excel•Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills•Strong customer service skills•Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while handling a high volume of work•Strong history of exercising proper judgment in challenging environments•A drive to succeed with a can-do attitude and a commitment to learning and understanding the role•To lift paper file boxes weighing no more than 30lbs•Stand on a ladder (no more than three (3) steps) to reach filesResponsibilities•Track submission of invoices to various electronic websites•Monitor websites for invoice processing to ensure that invoices are approved for payment•Distribute auditing reports to administrative attorneys in order to submit appeals for reductions•Submit appeals to websites upon receipt from attorneys•Provide collectors with lists of invoices that are overdue for payment for follow-up purposes•Monitor missing cover letter list and follow-up with attorneys and/or their secretaries to ensure that the invoices are sent to the clients•Notify the appropriate departments of any changes that are required to the invoices that are on the missing cover letter list based on information provided to us from the attorneys and/or their secretaries•And other responsibilities as requestedIf your background and experience align with these qualifications and you want to advance your career with one of the nation's leading law firms, please apply online.Our professional staff plays an important role in the firm's continued growth and success.
