As a vital member of the Strategy and Business Development and Licensing team, the Strategy and BDL analyst will synthesize high-level inputs and framework from Strategy and BDL leadership to build out detailed pipeline models, market models, profit and loss models, discounted-cash-flow valuation models and strategic investment cases to support portfolio management decisions and transactions such as distribution deals, licensing deals and acquisitions. The success of the Strategy and BDL Analyst will rely heavily on the Analyst's ability to perform detailed portfolio modeling, market modeling, financial modeling, understand financial metrics, analyze competitive landscape, present strategic insights supported by sound analysis, and communicate findings and perspectives to management. The Strategy and BDL Analyst will work collaboratively with team members across MITG Strategy and Business Development teams (business unit and region levels) and contribute to the methods, tools and outputs that support the business development process. The Strategy and BDL Analyst reports to the Senior Director of Business Development, MITG and will work to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business development strategy and deliver comprehensive deliverables tied to the strategic direction of the business unit.

Essential Functions:

+ Strategy, Portfolio Management, Patient Access and Acceleration

+ Collaborate with Strategy and Business development team to identify, assess, and prioritize white spaces and other strategic needs

+ Ensure consistency and integration of Business Development, Market Development, Market and Enrich portfolio models to support strategic priorities and decision making.

+ New Growth, Business Development, Integration

+ Assist in development of the overall short and long-term MITG new growth platform and BDL strategy by working collaboratively with BDL Sr. Director and functional leadership team and ensure alignment with group objectives.

+ Assist in identification of new markets and sub-markets with high growth and formulate market access strategy. Subsequently, assist in landscaping - identification of specific technology, product and company targets consistent with the MITG strategy.

+ Take high-level inputs and framework from BDL Sr. Director to lead pan MITG monthly deal pipeline and associated metrics

+ Take high-level inputs and framework from BDL Sr. Director and build out detailed market models that flow into target PLs and ultimately into discounted-cash-flow valuation models for pan MITG opportunities, white spaces, adjacencies

+ Build analyses, insights and recommendations around targets; support analyses with sound data collection and strategic thinking

+ Keep attention on details on all aspect of market, business development ranking assessment, and valuation models

+ Take high-level inputs and framework from BDL Sr. Director to create presentations for diligence processes, deal pitches and integration activities for pan MITG deals

+ Assist in review of deal post-mortems, metrics, and drive continuous improvement

+ Assist in Group integration management and capability building

+ Project management and cross-functional leadership to ensure smooth process for due diligence processes

+ Create tools and outputs that support decision making and the formation of the business development decisions

+ Develop and maintain a target database containing information on markets, competitors and technology pertinent to the company's business interests.

+ Bachelor's degree is required, MBA preferred

+ 3+ years of business, finance, accounting, or audit experience required

+ First-hand knowledge of and experience in financial statements, valuation modeling techniques and methods, and business case development required.

+ Experience in medical devices and/or healthcare industry is highly preferred.

+ Substantial experience managing diverse projects and teams, as well as presenting findings to senior management in a timely and professional manner required.

+ Experience in a high performing consulting, strategic planning, finance, or audit environment demanding a sophisticated approach to understanding of financial statements

+ Synthesis of wide range of data inputs/sources (i.e. financial, clinical, commercial, technical, operational) and ability to distill to meaningful insights conveyed in standardized investment cases. Evidence of having successfully developed and/or utilized competitive business intelligence tools and findings to provide key information which influenced management decisions.

+ Strategic agility, structured thinking, and intellectual curiosity is a must.

+ Ability to deal with ambiguity and translate complex concepts into actionable insights.

+ Proven ability to participate in intelligence networks across an organization, including scoping and leading projects with cross-functional teams.

+ Collaborative approach, familiarity with matrix organizations and how to successfully work cross-functionally.

+ Self-starter, comfortable taking initiative

+ Command of advanced functions and tools within Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

+ Strong written and oral communication
