The time is right to join HNTB! We are currently seeking an Office Engineer to join our Tarrytown, NY office.


The position of Office Engineer requires previous experience in any combination of the following: contract management, contract administration and construction compliance. The Office Engineer will be responsible for maintaining project records, review project documentation and the candidate will assist senior project staff in the administration of projects.


* Review daily submittals, RFIs, Contractor Invoices and quality/material acceptance documents

* Prepare non-conformance reports

* Prepare reports and tracking spreadsheets

* Prepare meeting agendas and minutes

* Prepare drafts of official correspondence

* Audit Design-Builder's project records to monitor compliance

* Assist with Project close-out and acceptance

* Support Project staff with management of disputes and potential claims

* Interpret and explain plans and contract terms, as necessary

* Additional project administration responsibilities, as necessary

Basic Qualifications

* One year construction inspection or administration experience

* 3 years of construction inspection or administration experience preferred

* BS in Engineering or Construction Management, preferred

* NYSDOT or NYSTA experience with construction project closeout required

* Previous design-build experience, preferred

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

* Basic understanding of CPM/Construction Scheduling

Environment and Physical Requirements: Work is generally performed in an office environment, with occasional need to visit construction site of which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
