A Connecticut-based healthcare facility is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking Medical Secretary for a promising position with their growing staff. In this role, the Bilingual Medical Secretary will be responsible for will be responsible for providing secretarial support to department to ensure the accuracy of patient's records.

Job Description

The Bilingual Medical Secretary:

* Ensures accuracy of patient's information

* Enters demographic information into computer

* Organizes and performs the general functions of the office, including: filing; typing; scheduling patient testing; and, pre-certification testing

* Answers the telephone and gives information to callers; schedules appointments and routes calls or contacts appropriate staff to ensure that effective communication occurs

* Types information from notes to produce documents relating to the patients, physicians, or the office management.

* Monitors customer satisfaction and outcomes in conjunction with the office and medical staff

* Resolves problems and measures improvements

* Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position

Required Skills

* 1+ year of job-related experience

* High School Diploma or GED

* Bilingual (English and Spanish)

* Previous Clerical experience

* Computer savvy

* Microsoft Office/Suite proficient

* Solid data entry skills

* Customer service oriented

* Exceptional phone etiquette

* Great interpersonal skills

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

* Strong attention to detail

* Highly organized


Desired Skills

* Previous work experience in the Medical field

* Knowledge of medical insurance, managed care plans, and the medical referral process
