Responsible for outreach and promotion of MVP lines of business to individuals and community groups from target market. Oversees the field staff assigned to their respective team. Ensure that the Team's productivity meets projected targets. Provides ongoing member support. Works closely with the Department of Social Services staff and the staff of affiliated Health Centers. Assist the Field Manager in implementing the Outreach Plan. Obtain the required number of completed applications to meet Team's monthly goals. Assist Field Manager with: Annual evaluations of team members, Establishing outreach sites where field staff can solicit applications. Sites include but are not limited to Health Centers, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), WIC Centers, churches, and schools, Presentations to CBOs, Exploring communities for events such as fairs and festivals to promote and represent the Plan. Events may be held during the week and on weekends. Coordinate staff and oversee community events, Leafleting and posting of fliers in local housing projects, check cashing facilities, grocery stores, pharmacies, and other targeted communities within the Team's geographic region, Training of new Outreach Representatives and provide ongoing training. Informing Team members of, and ensure compliance with, any internal or external (New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) or Local Department of Social Services (LDSS)) policy changes or revisions, Conducting the regularly scheduled meetings, Providing monthly field Outreach reports to the Field Manager, Outreach. Reviewing expense reports and time sheets for accuracy before forwarding to Manager, Preparing the Authorization for Overtime Pay for Managerial approval, Providing assistance to field staff, prospective members and staff at outreach sites, and Oversight of satellite offices. Distribute potential member leads among Team members accordingly and fairly. Assure that Outreach Representatives are fully equipped and ready for work. Distribute Outreach materials and flyers accordingly. Must have a clear understanding of the Facilitated Enrollment process. Subjected to a flexible schedule, including a minimum of two evenings per week as well as hours on two weekend days per month. Must work two events every month. Local travel is required. Outreach sites may require proof of immunizations, drug testing and additional background checks in order to be present at those sites. Will participate in these screenings/or provide proof when requested. Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education/Experience:
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent; plus 4 years work experience, or BA plus 2 years work experience.

Required Skills:
• Authoritative presence and excellent supervisory ability, good interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of ethnic/cultural differences.
• Familiarity with service area and sensitivity to our target market.
• Experience in a Managed care retail setting.
• NY Health Insurance License a plus.
• Must own car. Ability to work independently
