Pratt & Whitney's Commercial Aftermarket organization provides P&W's global customers with Material and Services to keep their fleets flying. Through industry leading products and services, the organization supports operators flying and maintaining P&W and IAE engine models through the complete engine lifecycle.

Reporting to the General Manager, Aftermarket Forecasting, the Shop Visit Forecasting Team Lead is a newly created role responsible for leadership of the Shop Visit Forecasting Team. The successful candidate will successfully lead a team of analysts responsible for shop visit forecasting, key deliverables include the on-time delivery of short and long-term forecasts, scenario models, strategic planning forecasts, and presentation material. The Team Lead will function as a working leader, ensuring thorough in-depth analysis of shop visit history, maintenance work-scopes and market conditions.

The successful candidate will have forecasting and analytics experience along with a solid understanding of aircraft engines, part and engine planning and an ability to provide insight from the customer's perspective. Working cross-functionally with colleagues in the Programs, Finance, Spares demand planning, customer-facing teams and leadership, the successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing decision-support for Commercial Aftermarket. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Lead and supervise a team of analysts responsible for performing shop visit forecasting

* Lead the collection and synthesis of key fleet attributes that impact long-term forecasting, including Fleet Size, Time on Wing, maintenance practices and technical issues impacting customer fleets

* Responsible for both the short-term forecast process for key growth programs (all GTF models) and the long-term forecast process for all programs (including mature and growth)

* Gain and sustain understanding of fleet-specific variables (and potential variables) that could impact projected shop visits and workscopes; this may include technical issues, customer decisions and macro-economic factors

* Ensure consistent monitoring and trending of variables that are leading indicators for customer maintenance

* Provide direct input to the Aftermarket S&OP process

* Ensure achievement of KPI's, including forecast accuracy

* Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to ensure world-class shop visit forecasting processes are in place

* Lead initiative to implement the next generation of forecasting tool assessment and implementation

* Lead team growth opportunities including spare engine forecasting, time on wing forecasting and workscope forecasting

* Key contributor to senior leadership presentations.

Qualifications Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics, economics, statistics or related field

MBA preferred

Education

* 10-15 years of related work experience (forecasting, modeling, aftermarket)

* Course-work or experience with economics, statistics, operations management

* Strong communication, influencing and judgment skills

* Demonstrated ability to drive results in a matrix-organization

* Skilled in use of MSOffice products (Excel, Powerpoint)

* Understanding of commercial aftermarket business and operations preferred

* Knowledge of and experience with forecasting tools preferred.
