Aftermarket Sales Analytics

This position is in the Strategy & Analytics team supporting the Commercial Engine Aftermarket Sales team. CE Aftermarket Sales is the team responsible for all engine overhaul & part repair sales. The P&W Commercial Engine Aftermarket contract portfolio is projected to generate over $25B in revenue over the next 15 years and is expected to grow further with our next generation products. The team works directly with our external customers and internal senior leadership to develop winning solutions to deliver that value.

The primary responsibilities of this position will involve simulating current & historical MRO opportunities and the development of strategies to win new business and maximize value.

Sales Campaign Responsibilities:

* Create analytical model of projected overhaul content

* Predict market price levels using analytical tools to aid in campaign strategy

* Run simulations to support pricing and deal structure strategies

* Forecast pricing & other relevant customer decision factors required to win quality business

* Collaborate with Finance on overall deal business case

* Develop modeling techniques to handle non-standard campaigns

Competitive Landscape Responsibilities:

* Study customers buying behavior and decision making tools to customize product and service offerings

* Study customer and industry trends to predict services customers will need in the future

* Study market dynamics to ensure P&W understands and leverages competitive advantages and defends against market threats

Aftermarket Responsibilities:

* Develop modeling techniques to incorporate fleet specific technical issues into forecasts

* Create risk profiles and mitigation strategies with respect to costs and revenues

* Collaborate with Engine Services Finance to aggregate data for use in financial modeling

* Develop models and analyze offers to determine "to-win" pricing

The role provides a high level of cross functional exposure and potential for high visibility throughout Commercial Engines, including Engine Services, Sales, Finance, Program Management, Legal and Marketing.

This position will also provide opportunities to get involved in analytics / "big data" projects that will streamline the business and provide important insights into how we manage our fleets.

Education / Certifications

Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years related experience. Advanced technical or business degrees are a plus.

Experience / Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of five years of Statistical Modeling experience is required

A minimum of five years experience with MS Excel and Office is required

Preferred Qualifications:

An energetic, highly motivated candidate with strong cross-functional leadership skills, high acumen for teamwork and the ability to work proactively.

Excellent analytical skills are required, including knowledge of statistical modeling and advanced use of Microsoft Office tools.

Experience with other modeling software is a plus.

Additional Skills that would be Useful:

Familiarity with gas turbine engine systems and components and engine maintenance practices with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of engine maintenance cost
