Major Account Executive   Northeast District EPG Team Location: Hartford, CT   Are you interested in being a top contributor for one of the most exciting sales teams within Microsoft? This team supports and manages the strategic relationships with Microsoft?s largest customers in our geography. We are seeking a highly motivated individual that will manage a territory focused on Healthcare Insurance in CT.   Responsibilities:     This position is responsible for selling Microsoft?s entire portfolio of cloud services and software solutions to strategic Enterprise customers in the in the Retail Industry. This role requires a senior sales executive with software and cloud services experience, the ability to call on senior business executives within both IT & Lines of Business, and a proven track record in successfully managing and closing complex sales in large enterprise accounts. This individual will be at the forefront of Microsoft's evolution from a recognized leader in desktop computing to a solutions oriented company that delivers business value. The position will own the orchestration across 3 major retail accounts, integrating an overlay team which will include Solution Sales & Technology Specialists, Partner & Industry Managers, as well as Microsoft Consulting Services.   Accordingly, the ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage multiple large opportunities is critical. This is a combined software and cloud services revenue based income position and the individual will be goaled on the attainment of revenue across their assigned accounts.   As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for achieving revenue goals by selling Microsoft cloud services & software. You will be asked to define, document, and execute an account plan to achieve business objectives as well as lead a team of subject matter experts who proactively propose solutions that address our customers? highest priority business issues.   The successful candidate must be able to creatively tackle complex technology sales, create compelling sales proposals, identify major competitive threats, and build customer "inertia" while being able to quickly make appropriate judgment calls and appropriately allocate resources. You will be instrumental in helping to drive Microsoft technologies across all lines of business within your customer segments.   As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for creating alternative channels and partnerships for Microsoft go-to-market programs as part of your account planning process. The ability to establish strong executive relationships within corporate IT and lines of business is critical in this role. You will lead the virtual account team to facilitate communications, work with the solutions sales team to drive solution wins, and partner with Microsoft Consulting Services to drive consulting engagements.   Requirements:     This role requires an experienced salesperson with 7+ years selling to enterprise customers.   Experience in the Retail Industry will be highly valued. In addition, this candidate should have a strong track record within the software and cloud services industry and effective presentation skills; strong project management and account development skills; knowledge of the IT industry as well as the CxO business challenges, understanding of the channel; knowledge of the business drivers for enterprise accounts; excellent communication skills, strategic solution selling skills, strong leadership and organizational skills; and Microsoft and competitive product knowledge. Experience with solution selling is a requirement. Familiarity with Microsoft?s product lines is desired. Candidates must be able to think strategically, master technical concepts and work effectively in a dynamic environment. A BA/BS degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience is required. This position is based in Cambridge, MA and will require some travel.
