Accounting Analyst - Part-Time

Position Summary: Accountant responsible for the recording, reporting, and analysis of funds for the Foundation and its Auxiliary organizations which serve as a fundraising, development vehicle, depository and investment and financial services manager exclusively for Jewish Senior Services. Position assumes management, reconciliation, investment and allocation functions of funds contributed to or on behalf of Jewish Senior Services and providing Jewish Senior Services with financial assistance consistent with its mission, the intent of the donor, and the discretion of the Board of Directors. Position is responsible for assuring funds are recorded and receipted in accordance with IRS guidelines and with respect to donor intent, and categorized as restricted, unrestricted, or temporarily restricted. Additional duties will include special event financial management and overseeing the finances of the Auxiliary Gift Shop.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Experience: 3-5 Years’ experience in Accounting and database management, preferably in a non-profit setting Licensure: Valid Driver’s License Reports To: Director Development Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of accounting procedures and requirements within a non-profit organization. Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines. Ability to read, communicate effectively and utilize various software packages (i.e. Raiser’s Edge, Sage Accounting, Excel, Word, etc.) to carry out position responsibilities.
