Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President for Strategy and Business Development and Chair of the Department of Business, Management and Advanced Manufacturing, provides personal, project and administrative support and assistance to the AVP and the Program Director for the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership. Job DutiesSupports administrative needs of AVP and academic program director to include maintenance of students records, coordinate special events/projects within the department; maintain calendars; support contract and payroll functions; draft letters and contracts; coordinate mailings; develop marketing collateral with program directors; and all other support as necessaryPerforms general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing and mailing; files, retrieves, tracks and maintains documents and reference materials.Tracks and maintains various department records, including databases, mailing lists, employee and student supervisory filesResolves administrative problems and inquiries; serves on college committeesSchedules, coordinates and sets-up for meetings and events; some local travel may be requiredRecords, transcribes and distributes minutes of meetings.Open, sorts and distributes incoming correspondence; draft letters; create and organize program binders; follow-up on phone callsMaintains office supply inventories and coordinates maintenance of office equipmentCollaborate with external partners; customer focused; ever-ready for assignment in fast-paced environment; positive can-do attitudePrepare materials for scheduled meetings for supervisionConduct research as necessary on products, companies etc.; assembles and analyzes data to prepare reports and documents summarizing findings. Qualifications:Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferredCorporate or manufacturing business experience a plus; proven work track recordMicrosoft Office skills required, especially outlook, word and excel.Ability to anticipate needs and workflow; self-starter; excellent organizational skillsRequires excellent written and verbal communications skills, skill in information gathering and monitoring, ability to asses and solve problems, attention to detail and accuracy, initiative, flexibility and confidentiality; ability to work well as a team player and independently; collaborative nature; ability to prioritize tasks; maintains confidentiality.
