Position/Job Description:

The Territory Sales Representative (TSR) is part of the US Dealer Sales team and adds value for Husqvarna retailers and Husqvarna by cultivating a business relationship that facilitates each business partner's growth, optimal performance, and success. The TSR is responsible for securing and developing new dealers that help meet sales and market-share goals for the territory. This position will plan, enhance, and measure the performance of assigned dealers, as well as service the dealer base. This job regularly requires being in front of the customers to present products, programs, etc.

The territory includes: Eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island and parts of Massechusetts (Barnstable & Bristol Counties). The selected individual must live in territory, ideally on eastern side of Hartford or at the border of Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Essential Duties:

* Develop a plan to increase company brand position in assigned territory.

* Gain dealer commitment & orders

* Make planned dealer-calls and chronicle the discussions and outcomes of the visits in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

* Demonstrate equipment and provide product application learning opportunities.

* Facilitate the success of sales, marketing, and promotional campaigns.

* Acquaint dealers with the latest selling techniques.

* Monitor dealer inventory levels and drive business adjustments as required.

* Represent Husqvarna at trade, industry, and dealer shows.

Budget responsibility:

Direct responsibility and control

Manage demo products, travel expenses, and vehicle expenses

Indirect influence and contribution

Value this role delivers to the organization

Represents Husqvarna to the Dealer structure in terms of image, sales growth, quality, and profitability

Measurement of excellent contribution to the function or business could include:

Ability to deliver on given metrics for the territory such as sales growth and profitability

Work Environment:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, TSR's must be able to lift 40-50 lbs up to 2 days per week in order to set up displays for trade shows and dealer marketing events. Long periods of standing or driving may be necessary. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job Requirements :

Qualifications(Education and Experience):


* Minimum of high school degree or equivalent

* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high performance and exceptional reliability in outside sales


* Minimum of Associate's degree

* Experience in industries that have shown dramatic growth and volume in sales, such as the appliance, agricultural equipment, power tool, electronics, consumer durables, construction equipment, and/or power sports businesses.

Skills and Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)


* Proven sales performer with excellent negotiation skills

* Ability to solve problems independently and transfer expert knowledge into practical solutions as part of maintaining a successful relationship with dealers and customers.

* Aptitude and interest in learning extensively about outdoor power equipment and the industry in order to represent the Husqvarna brand and products effectively to dealers.

* Highly motivated with strong initiative and a hands-on approach to accomplishing goals.

* Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop high quality working relationships both internally and externally.

* Strong planning and organizational skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.

* Ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change, delays or unexpected events

* Detail-oriented with the ability to work with accuracy and discipline.

* A demonstrated understanding of market positioning both from a financial and product stand point.

* Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), as well as the ability to learn and master other in-house programs that track sales and customer relations

* Able and willing to work extended hours as required and travel extensively and spend 2 or 3 overnights per week.

* Able and willing to lift 40-50 lbs up to 2 days per week in order to set up displays for trade shows and dealer marketing events.
