As a Procurement New Product Introduction Manager for the Engines & Environmental Controls business unit located in Windsor Locks, CT you will have the opportunity to scale your core operations skillset to include cross functional leadership, solution based negotiating, cost management activities, strategic commodity coordination, and execution of early life cycle program activities. NPI reads across all aspects of supply chain competencies providing an excellent proving ground for motivated individuals with interest in building a strong base within UTC's procurement organizations. Success in this role is defined by forging strong supplier relationships, stronger contracts, taking ownership of development, introduction, and growth stage program processes, along with flawless execution to business unit and organizational goals.

In this role you will be expected to communicate to all levels of the organization, manage procurement activities through early phases of the product life cycle, and validate new program business case proposals. The identified candidate will manage a small team of sub contract managers responsible for supplier management, contract creation & execution, on time placement of orders, expediting, and coordination with internal functional groups.

Primary responsibilities include;

* New program development and execution through the early growth life cycle stage

* Developing talent and cultivating a collaborative team environment

* Execution of critical projects and sustained performance to key program metrics (cost, quality, delivery)

* Integration and coordination of Commodity Strategies

* Interfacing with Senior Leadership within the organization, customers, and within the supply base

* Driving Compliance to procurement procedures within the working team and to develop, maintain, and execute standard work

* Maintain Linkage with the program and customer service organizations to ensure products are supported in service Qualifications • 3+ years' experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Aftermarket and/or Supply Chain disciplines with increasing responsibility

* Prior management experience is preferred

* Project/Program Management Experience

* A track record of managing to plan and achieving customer satisfaction

* Proven leadership and communication skills

* Cost sensitivity and business judgment with proven bottom line results

* Able to lead in a collaborative team environment

The successful candidate will possess the following strengths: strong customer focus, analytical thinking, polished communication, business innovation, organizational savvy, interpersonal skills, forward thinking and focus on results. Employee will also be required to present status reports to executive leadership on IPD programs. Ability to self-start and multi-task in a dynamic environment is a plus. ACE experience (or equivalent) and a positive attitude are required.

Education Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Supply chain/Project related disciplines. A Master's Degree is desirable with some elements of Business Management.
