The Human Resources (HR) Generalist supports all areas of Human Resources including recruitment, onboarding, policies and procedures, employee development, training, performance management, employee relations and retention programs. The incumbent will be involved in a variety of HR assignments and projects.

Key Accountabilities:

Ensures that HR processes are aligned with business objectives. Must be viewed as a credible, reliable and informed business partner as well as an employee advocate. Acts as liaison between all HR functions and management to provide guidance, advice and counsel. Recommends new approaches, ideas and procedures to effect continual process improvement in the efficiency of the department and services performed. Provides strategies in best practice for organizational and cultural changes.

Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and practices that support efficient work practices across multiple offices. Prepares and maintains Employee and Supervisor Handbooks in compliance with current policies, procedures and applicable law. Presents professional, positive image of the company in responding to internal and external inquiries regarding company policies and practices.

Provides guidance and counsel to supervisors and employees related to performance management issues and discipline processes. Responds to employee relations issues, conducts investigations as required and assists with resolutions in a manner that is aligned with our core values in order to create a positive, ethical and effective workplace. Oversees and provides on-boarding of new staff.

Maintains current knowledge of state and federal labor laws/regulations, industry trends, current practices and new developments to ensure compliance in all corporate activities. Facilitates and provides training to supervisors to ensure effective and compliant employee relations approaches as well as more general management development training topics.

Collects and analyzes against key metrics a variety of data reports for all facets of human resources, including overtime, turnover, cost-per-hire, retention, etc. and advises HR management on significant trends. Assists HR management on special projects.

Oversees job description development and maintenance. Works with other HR team members on the annual performance evaluation program and management training.

Serves on the company Committees, as assigned.

RequirementsBachelor's degree with 5+ years of Human Resources experience, required. Experience in a Healthcare environment and PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred. Strong organizational, project and time management skills, required. Must demonstrate working knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management, as well as state and federal employment laws. Must convey a positive, achievement-oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate a strong customer service orientation and maintain confidentiality, discretion and integrity. Solid PC skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS.

Physical Requirements of the job: May be occasionally required to lift/carry up to 25lbs. Will spend 80% of time sitting and 20% of time walking.
