The Wethersfield Public Schools partner with the community and families in fostering our students' ongoing education in a safe and secure learning environment. Our schools are demographically diverse and are characterized by respectful behavior, trusting relationships, caring educators/administrators/staff and continuous learning. The Silas Deane Middle School in Wethersfield is seeking a motivated and dedicated World Language teacher with superior communication skills to instruct in both Italian and Spanish for the upcoming academic year. The chosen candidate will begin their assignment in October, 2016, and will continue through the end of the academic year, June, 2017.

At this time the position is more heavily weighted toward teaching Italian (0.8) and will also teach one Spanish class (0.2). Thus, dual Italian/Spanish certirfication is desired.

Candidates who hold only an Italian or Spanish certification are encouraged to apply to this position as well. Depending on the pool of applicants who apply, candidates with only Italian or Spanish certifications may be considered to fill this opening.

Candidates must possess the necessary Italian and/or Spanish teaching certifications in order to be considered for this position.
