POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Manger will be responsible to oversee and manage all operations of the Sales Department and Sales Team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* To build and maintain relationships with our customers, employees and vendors

* To grow and develop their direct reports

* Ensure Sales Department contributes acceptable levels of gross and net profit

* Ensure Sales Executives are well trained, motivated and available when needed

* Oversee sales, trade-ins and delivery of all new and used vehicles

* Hold daily group meeting with Sales Executives

* Confirm all appointments when received from BDC

* Perform daily review of Sales Executives planners

* Review Save a Deal on a daily basis and follow up with customers and staff

* Perform T.O. and document conversation with customer in DealerSocket notes

* Review prospect and owner calls daily

* Ensure all customers are properly turned over to the F&I Manager at time deal is written

* Ensure simonize video is shown to EVERY customer

* To challenge and hold Sales Executives accountable to meeting and exceeding the set expectations of their position

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

* The Sales Manager will manage all of the Sales Executives.

* Train Sales Executives to use consistent and current sales methodologies.

* Manage employee performance and conduct performance reviews in a timely manner.

* Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching and firing of employees as needed.

NATURE OF CUSTOMER CONTACT

* The Sales Manager will have direct contact with the customer; face to face, on the phone and via email.

PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

* Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments in a variety of weather conditions.

* Moderate exposure to noise and vehicle fumes.

* Able to perform simple motor skills motor skills such as standing, walking.

* Able to perform simple manipulative skills.

* Able to perform gross body coordination such as walking, stooping.

* Able to see objects far away as in driving.

* Able to discriminate colors as in vehicle color.

* Able to hear normal sounds with some background noise.

* Able to remember tasks/assignments.

* Possess attention span in order to remain focused on assignments.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of three to five years progressive management experience in the automotive retail industry

* Knowledge and experience with auto sales or the demonstrated ability to learn quickly.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of High School degree or equivalent

LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

* Valid driver's license

* Clean driving record
