ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY - CUSTODIAN I

WETHERSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL

June 2, 2016

Applications will be accepted through June 15, 2015 from qualified local candidates for the position of Custodian I.

Work Year: Twelve-month position

Work Day: Eight (8) hours

Hourly Wage: $16.09 - $20.92 (pending outcome of negotiations)

Qualifications:

* Experience in custodial or maintenance with knowledge of boilers

* Considerable knowledge and experience of modern cleaning methods, materials, tools and equipment

* Ability to lift medium weights (fifty pounds) and to do vigorous manual work

* Ability to supervise other custodians and to assign work in accordance with accepted guidelines and procedures set by the Board

* Familiarity with heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment and systems of various school buildings

* Ability to maintain a satisfactory working relationship with staff personnel and the public as needed

* Ability to read and write English

* Ability to plan and organize work schedule, set priorities and perform multiple tasks simultaneously

* High school graduation or equivalent.
