Holds responsibility for the complete financial integrity of multiple facilities including integrity of all assets, inventory control, product costing, factory reporting and account reconciliations. Supports the site Operations management teams in the pursuit of continuous improvements in cost, quality & delivery performance of the manufacturing sites.


Position Description & Requirements


Participate with the plant management staff in the areas of maintaining control over the operation, strategic planning, long range planning, and special studies and analysis as required to fulfill the function.

Act as financial expert on local project teams to support decision making•Have a close understanding of the sites' products, manufacturing processes, vendors, markets, etc.

Provide 'cost leadership' identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes

Identify opportunities in support of site objectives in terms of cost reduction, lead-time and inventory improvements. Ensure financial impacts are properly validated and tracked in accordance with the company guidelines.

Will assure that financially sound internal control procedures exist throughout the plants, conduct audits and revision of procedures as required. Maintain knowledge of latest accounting policies, practices and procedures to ensure integrity and compliance of financial statements.

Responsible for submission of the complete and thorough plant budgets and forecasts as required by the central Operations Finance function.

Issue in accordance with Operations and Accounting policy, periodic reports to control plant operations and to inform management of the variances from budget and forecast. Recommend changes to enhance results.

Responsible for all aspects of standard cost, including the annual and interim revisions of all standards.

Reviews capital expenditure requests as required by the site in accordance with company guidelines and strategic direction.

Provides product line margin and cost analysis in support of key franchise portfolio decision-making, including Service & Repair as applicable.

Responsible to organize, train and develop team as required in support of the function.

This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).

Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

7-10 years of experience in Operation Accounting preferred

Proficient in MS Suite including Excel and Access

Strong financial/accounting skills

Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems

Oracle experience a plus

Full responsibility for standard costing


Strong communication skills

Demonstrated high-level partnership with Operations leaders

Strong ability to create dynamic financial modeling and support strategic decision making process

Critical thinking and agile mindset

Planning and Decision Making:

High level of responsibility for budget planning and forecasting

Ability to make high-level spending decisions for the facility, including investments and make vs. buy

Ability to work independently and make decisions with little or no supervision

Impact and Scope:

Direct impact on financial results for the facility

Acts as key strategic planner, decision maker, and problem solver within the sites

Errors could impact bottom line profitability

Responsible for site financial stewardship and compliance with IFRS guidelines and Internal/External audit controls

All internal facility managers and employees

Director of Operations and VP of Regional Operations

Finance department employees throughout the company
