Full-time Early Childhood Specialist needed to support teachers and administrators in community programs and school districts in the ACES region. Knowledge, skill and understanding of the ELDS and Common Core K-3, child and classroom assessment strategies, aligned curriculum and instruction, RTI strategies and integrated programing for children age 3 to 8. Experience in training and coaching adult learners. Knowledge of best practice in classrooms serving dual language learners and students with IEPs.

ACES Early Childhood Services (ECS) supports all children in diverse settings from birth to age 8 and provides program assessment, consultation, technical assistance, embedded coaching and a range of professional learning opportunities to individuals, classroom staff, program and school staff and administrators.

Must demonstrate the ability to work in diverse settings, collaborate with diverse professionals and have experience in facilitating group training. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills essential.

Knowledge and experience with the CT Teacher Evaluation System also desired. An understanding of CT publicly funded initiatives, State licensing and NAEYC accreditation preferred. CLASS reliability preferred for grades Prek-3.

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in providing professional learning for early childhood education staff and administrators preferred with a graduate degree and Connecticut teacher certification required.
