Position Summary

The AD/Director, Global PNH Marketing will work with the Executive Director, PNH Global Marketing to create tactics and tools that align with global brand strategy for HCP and patient audiences and to ensure materials created help global markets execute on the global brand strategy.

Principal Responsibilities

* Participate in developing the short and long terms strategic plan and tactical plan for the PNH Global business unit

* Work closely with Global Analytics, lead creation of the global situation assessment that closely examines key business metrics and drives strategic and tactical planning

* Develop innovative strategic initiatives for disease education to support treatment initiation with Soliris for patients with PNH disease

* Support development and implementation of global strategic and tactical marketing plans

* Develop promotional materials to support global execution of brand and disease messages to HCP and patient audiences

* Manage advertising agency partner and other vendors to ensure execution towards objectives

* Lead global Therapeutic Area efforts in patient messaging, tools, and programs; working directly with the agency on record

* Cultivate strong relationships with global markets, market research and the field sales organizations to develop market insights

* Collaborate with in-country marketing leads to identify best practices and uncover needs/ trends and build relationships to improve consistency of global brand strategy execution world-wide

* Collaborate with wide range of cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated execution across roles and responsibilities

* Track and monitor key performance indicators


* Experience developing marketing strategies and tactics, with a focus on solid implementation of tactics through a combination of individual and team efforts

* Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead

* Must have 7-10 years pharmaceutical industry experience and a working knowledge of marketing principles, including key principles of brand management, professional promotion and the sales process

* Experience in managing external agencies and/or vendors on a day-to-day basis and budget management

* Experience launching or working with a newly launched product and/or global experience is desirable

* Experience in selling specialty and/or orphan drugs preferred

* Experience in marketing specialty and/or orphan drugs preferred

* Experience in selling specialty and/or orphan drugs preferred

* US and International (global) experience is highly preferred

* Experience in medical education and medical marketing preferred


* Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred

* Strong knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel

* Fluent in English (written and spoken language)
